My Latest Travels

May 2003: I went to Boston on May 4th. Didn't get to see Cheers. 
I did go to The Hard Rock Cafe and get another Hard Rock t-shirt for my collection.

On Cinco De Mayo (that's May Fifth for the Spanish impaired), I was hanging out at a
local pub having dinner and a few beers. All of a sudden a news crew shows up with a camera.
They were apparently doing a story on the smoking ban that went into effect that day.

Getting bored, I finally went up the cute newscaster for Channel 7 and said:
"How would you like to film Ricky Martin on Cinco De Mayo?"

She responded "Ricky Martin's in Boston??!!!" Where???"

I said "You're looking at him" and showed her my driver's license as proof.

Her expression was priceless as it went from complete excitement to dismay.

Well she didn't take too kindly at being fooled and walked away!
Oh well... The newscasters in Arizona seem to take it better!

April 2003: I was in Toronto again last week.
I had to go for work purposes, but I did manage to go see the CN Tower on 3/25/03.

I was told that it was pretty unnerving to stand on the glass floor from about 1200 feet up.
I figured that I would be mentally prepared for it since I knew about it in advance.
I was wrong! As you approach the glass floor, instinct takes over and you don't want to do it!
I had to not look down as I stepped onto it!
